Showers of Blessing Gifts

Showers of Blessing Gifts was born when I (Johanna) decided to stay home with my first baby.  After teaching for six years, I missed having a creative outlet.  When my husband and I looked at a burp cloth we received as a baby gift, we thought, "we could do that!", and the rest is history.

I just love babies and everything to do with babies.  I take pride in offering only the finest quality products that I would be comfortable using with my own baby.  I treat each order as a chance to create something useful that will be loved and cherished by a special baby.

Why Scripture verses?

Showers of Blessing Gifts was founded on the principle that we are to teach our children God's word and tell them about Him and what He has done.  We believe we can play a part in that by creating beautiful gifts of purpose that remind us of God and His rightful place in our lives.  That's why many of our products have scripture verses incorporated in the design.  As we go through the sometimes mundane day to day tasks and challenges of raising children, the reminder of a favorite verse or promise can retrain our focus and bring satisfaction and comfort in knowing that God loves us and is intimately involved in our lives. 

Founding Verses

"We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and wonders he has done."   --Psalm 78:4

"Teach [God's words] to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."  -- Deuteronomy 11:19

Each item can be created without a verse, but feel free to add a scripture to any burp cloth or blanket free of charge.  Our hope is that the verse will encourage you as you care for your baby.
